Hungary Student Visa – Requirements & Process

The documents required by the International students to Study in Hungary are:

  • Passport (validity should be exceeded at least six months beyond your entry date).

  • All educational documents.

  • Six passport-size color photos (not more than six months older).

  • Travel health insurance for the whole period of stay.

  • Proof of having paid the tuition fee

  • An acceptance letter from the university regarding your admission

  • Copy of the photograph page of your passport

  • Proof of address or housing in Hungary

  • Proof of sufficient funds to cover living expenses in the form of bank assurance/statement

  • Three stamped envelopes addressed to the applicant

International students who wish to apply for a Hungary student visa and stay for more than 90 consecutive days in Hungary and are non-European citizens should apply for a long-stay visa for more than 90 days to stay in Hungary. In general, the Hungary Student visa process should be the following.

Admission Process

The admission Procedure is the first part of the Hungary Student visa process, which consists of:

Step 1: Find your university and program

Visit the website of the chosen higher education institution. Read the description of the selected program (s).

Step 2: Check entry requirements and deadlines

Before you decide, always read the entry requirements for the degree program you are applying to. Collect all the required documents. Keep to the deadline.

Step 3: Apply online for the selected college and program

Fill in the online application form for the program. Then, upload or submit the required documents. Contact the university or the college and ask them if there is anything else you need to do.

Step 4: Wait to receive confirmation from the university

The student will receive a letter of invitation from the university in the student's name, stating that the student has been accepted into the program for a particular time. Students are usually required to transfer (part of) the tuition fee before the enrolment in the academic period.

Step 5: Fix your appointment and go for an Interview

Now book your appointment for an Interview and visit there on that appropriate date. The file for the visa should be prepared and carried with the student on the interview date. Step-6: Visa Approval

Now, wait for your results. Hopefully, you will get your visa within one month. After getting your visa, you can book your flight ticket to visit there.
